Hovenweep National Monument, Arches National Park, Back to School, a Broken Leg and a Discovery
We went out to Hovenweep to get away from the city to watch a meteor shower. We didn't see a ton of meteors but the ones we did see were huge, their tails would fluff out and then slowly disappear. This was probably the best camping trip I've been on in a long time (if you know me you know that I seriously dislike camping).
Since Arches was on the way home we stopped to behold all there was to behold... well, some of it.
Back to school poses and a broken tibia for Lily. She was jumping on the trampoline with Cameron and he bounced too hard (this is according to the doctor and x-ray tech) the force of the trampoline springing back in to place caused Lily's tibia to buckle, thankfully it didn't fully break, just a fracture but still, ouch!
She's a trooper though and loved having her best friend Amelia come over and visit her.
And she LOVED cruising the neighborhood on her motor cart with her cat pants stretched over her cast and her Elsa cape on. 😂😂
When we took Lily in to have her "leggy" looked at she was complaining of pain below her knee but the doctor felt like something was wrong above her knee so he ordered X-rays to look at both areas. The fracture was below her knee but just above her knee in her femur a "lesion" was showing up on the x-ray. They said it was mostly likely a benign tumor know as Osteoid Osteoma but order an MRI to make sure and referred us to a pediatric orthopedic specialist for follow up on this.

Lily is up in my space: Lily back off please. "No Mom, I love you" I love you too but I want some space. "(Quietly and sad) Oh, come on blankey, Mom said no." 😔
