Cats, Scans, and Friends. Oh My!

Jaime's sister, Cherise, had a cat that gave birth to 9 kittens on Jaime's birthday so it was inevitable that we would be getting a new cat... or two.  Patches (also called Patchy by Lily) is the white one and Mittens is the grey one.  They are pretty cute, the only downside is my allergies are pretty bad with three cats in the house.  :-(

Lily loves these cats and they are SO patient with her.

On the 13th Lily had an MRI to look more closely at the tumor on her leg.  Here she is snuggling with Mittens after the MRI.  They determined that it was Osteoid Osteoma and we have an appointment schedule with Primary Children's Hospital to have a Radio Frequency Ablation treatment done to get ride of it.  I suppose it's a blessing in disguise that Lily broke her leg. For a long time she had been waking up every night crying in pain and complaining that her leg hurt but I thought it was growing pains. I was partially right, it was a growing tumor that was causing her pain. My poor, sweet girly.

Once the sedation wore off Lily was ready to be with her bestie again!

Before the treatment can be done Lily needed a CT scan.  She was terrified of the machine but was brave and held perfectly still, the whole time quietly asking me "It done mommy? It done?"

The RFA is schedule for October 13. It's roughly a two hour procedure and without complication we should be in and out in the same day.
