After you are done admiring that very handsome boy take a look to the left of the picture. This is the ONLY picture I have of the playground in our backyard before we made it awesome. You may ask "why didn't you take a picture before you got started?" Well I wasn't thinking of now, I was thinking of the amazing future. So that's what it was before... weed and wasp infested boring. And now presenting...

The front view of our fortress of fun. The only thing missing here is the Phairforce plaque that is in the making. We are going to put it up (or hup as Nora says) in the diamond of the clubhouse.

Side view. The tunnel and crows nest are tucked back on the side of the house. That is a down side because you have to go into our neighbor's yard to see the full amazing fortress of fun.

And there it is from the back view.

Under the club house and sun porch is another porch with this cute little bench that Nora LOVES.

We had my parents take the children for the weekend so that we could put this together and surprise them. The instructions said that it would take "two mildly competent people 20-24 hours". We must be more than mildly competent because it took us 18 hours, go Phairforce! And it was done with almost zero tiffs and very little frustration, go team Phair! I expected the children to go crazy jumping up and down when they saw it; instead they were thrown into stunned silence. Um, yeah, we are no longer the "boring" house on the block. :-)
Wow, not boring at all! We totally should have stayed in Provo just to play at your house. :)
ReplyDeleteI love your hair in that first pic, btw. So cute.
